Scholarships

Jay County Civic Theatre

offers three scholarships:

Tom Casey Memorial Scholarship

The Tom Casey Memorial Scholarship is a $250 scholarship that goes to a Jay County High School senior who has been accepted to an accredited college or university with the intent to enroll in courses for the coming fall semester pursuing an undergraduate degree majoring in theatre, music, dance, photography or journalism. The deadline to apply is Friday, March 8, 2024.

Heather McLaughlin Memorial Theater Arts Scholarship

The Heather McLaughlin Memorial Theater Arts Scholarship is a $250 scholarship that goes someone who has been accepted to an accredited college or university with the intent to enroll in courses for the coming fall semester pursuing an undergraduate degree with course work in the theater arts (for example, but not limited to, acting, lighting design, set construction, costuming, music performance, hairstyling, makeup design, directing, dramaturgy, playwriting, etc.)  The deadline to apply is Friday, March 8, 2024.

Jay County Civic Theatre Merit Scholarship

The Jay County Civic Theatre Merit Scholarship is a $250 scholarship that honors someone who has shown a commitment to Jay County Civic Theatre and its mission. The scholarship is open to anyone who has taken part (on stage or off) in multiple Jay County Civic Theatre productions, is an active JCCT member (at least one production in the past three years) and is pursuing post-secondary education (college, technical school, etc.), workshops, camps, clinics or other specialized training. The scholarship is renewable at the JCCT board’s discretion. The deadline to apply for those seeking a scholarship for college is Friday, March 8, 2024. This scholarship is open to applicants year-round for workshops, camps, clinics, etc.
